About the Event
Valley Verde is offering a series of free beekeeping Community Workshops! You are not required to attend any of the workshops (for example, you do not have to attend the intro workshop to attend the later ones) and can choose whichever ones you are available for! These workshops are available in Spanish and English!
Today, we will start with Workshop #6 which will be In-person. We will go over:
- Queenless hives
- Laying worker hives
- Under-performing queens
- Absconded hives
Here is the workshop schedule:
- Aug. 3: "Introduction to bees and beekeeping / Introducción a las abejas y la apicultura" (Online)
- Sept. 7: "Introduction to beekeeping - hands on / Introducción a la apicultura: práctica" (In-person)
- Oct. 5: "Swarms / Enjambres" (Online)
- Nov. 2: "Honey harvest - hands on / Cosecha de miel: práctica " (In-person)
- Jan. 4: "Beehive Maintenance / Mantenimiento de la colmena" (In-person)
- Feb. 1: "Troubleshooting / Solución de problemas" (In person)

On-site parking is only available for accessibility purposes. Therefore, there is no parking onsite, please park at 365 Royal Ave, San Jose, CA 95126. It is a big parking lot located in a vacated Orchard Supply Hardware. Please refer to our Instagram (@valleyverde) to find more parking information.
